The Flinders Ranges
So unique are the fossils found in this landscape, that geologists had to revise the geologic time-line of the Earth’s history. They identified a new era called the Ediacaran period! One of Australia’s ‘National Landscapes’, a few days in this beautifully rugged, 540 million-year-old region will stay with you a lifetime.
Our Nullarbor tours and 6-day Secrets of the Eyre Peninsula tour travel deep into the Southern Flinders Ranges. This is where you’ll experience the rugged Mount Remarkable National Park and spectacular Alligator Gorge. Take hike through the forest. Camp at Warren Gorge. Here you’ll have the opportunity to see a rare yellow-footed rock-wallaby. One of the favourite hikes on our trips is the Dutchmans Stern hike. It’s another “woah” moment on our Flinders Ranges tours.

The tiny township of Quorn in the Flinders Ranges has a majestic old pub on every corner and as we explore this outback town you will feel like you have stepped onto the Crocodile Dundee movie set. It will not be the only time either as we visit some very unique little seaside and outback towns on our journeys.
