Escape the ordinary and jump onboard Australia’s first yoga and wellness tour. This is not your usual yoga retreat and not your regular tour. By day, explore with our guide/yogi extraordinaire Jodie. By night, relax in your luxurious glamping tent at Fair Harvest.
Meet inspirational locals and practice yoga and meditation in pristine locations. Get adventurous on rewarding hikes and nourish your body with the regions freshest local produce. Take a perfume making workshop, a spice masterclass, and enjoy some cheeky wine and gin tastings.
New to yoga? No problem! There is only an hour of yoga each day and classes are designed for all levels. The true essence of this tour is about taking some “me time”, having fun and connecting with mind, body and country, as you experience the Margaret River Region like never before.
After being greeted by your Guide, leave the city behind and prepare for four days of bliss on this yoga retreat from Perth. Pop into the quirky Crooked Carrot Café & Farm in Myalup for morning tea with a twist. Before long, we arrive at heaven on earth, Meelup Beach. After a beachside picnic of fresh local produce, you are ready for the first yoga experience of the tour and OMG it is a great one!
Meet legendary local yogi and founder of Western Australia’s South West Yoga Fest – Heather Starr, for a session of SUP yoga. Yes, that means yoga on a stand-up paddleboard! After a beach introduction to the floating yoga studio, anchor down. With the sky above you, sea below, surrounded by nature, sun and salt, what could be more blissful?
Lots of laughs later and feeling energised, it’s time to embark on a 2-hour hike to Cape Naturalist. Part of Leeuwin-Naturalise National Park, this hike features incredible vistas and will have you in awe at every turn.
We’ll take a short drive to Fair Harvest, where the glamping tents will await. Located in the quiet natural surroundings of a permaculture farm, this unique property features food gardens, a Farm Cafe, Yoga Barn and forest walks.
Fair Harvest has hot showers, toilets and an outdoor camp kitchen.
We start the day with a gentle Yin Yoga session followed by a nutritious breakfast. Visit the eclectic Margaret River Markets to collect yummy local fresh produce for later. Then it’s time to immerse yourself into the boundless natural beauty of the Cape to Cape Track on a four-hour hiking experience led by local healer Dan. He will help us re-centre through mindfulness, ritual and ceremony, and guide us through a unique Shamanic Light meditation.
After a beach picnic, return to join natural beauty guru Marita in a workshop to indulge your senses and create some gorgeous natural products to take home. Natural perfumes not only smell divine but reduce the number of chemicals you use daily on your body. Learn about the art of blending scents and make your very own perfume using all-natural ingredients.
Smelling amazing, it is time for the Natural Skincare part of the workshop. Make your own mud-based face mask, and using essential oils create your own 30 ml Luxury Glow Serum. You’ll also make some beautiful Body Moisturiser bars to help nourish your skin and enjoy a glass of bubbles to complete the experience.
Tonight’s dinner will be prepared by the MasterChef extraordinaires known as you! But you’ll have some expert guidance as local identity The Spice Mistress, Sarina, guides you through a Spice Masterclass. Prepare some flavoursome food whilst gaining a unique insight into the healing properties of spices.
By now, you are feeling like a new and improved version of yourself. This morning, balance yourself during a Hatha Yoga session by the beach with sound mediation. If you have never experienced sound meditation, you will be blown away. Sound healing has ancient roots in cultures all over the world, including Indigenous tribes who have used the didgeridoo as a sound healing instrument for over 40,000 years. Feeling zentastic, refuel with a nutritious picnic breakfast on the beach, and cool down with a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
Glam up for an afternoon of tantalising your taste buds around the Margaret River region. Enjoy a gourmet lunch of seed to plate organic produce catered by the Fair Harvest team. But leave some room for what awaits! Visit iconic vineyards for wine and cheese tastings and spend some time at the Margaret River Distilling Co. for a ‘tour and taste’ experience at Giniversity. Sip on four flavours of gin with garnishes as you soak up the knowledge from passionate gin creator and Manager of the venue, Ben. Finally, indulge with a decadent chocolate cookie and coffee at Gabriel Chocolate, where they transform the humble raw cacao bean into delicate goodness.
Complete the day with the culmination of fresh local produce that we have collected along the way—celebrating health and new friendships on our last night together.
Margaret River to Perth
On the final day of the tour, enjoy a sleep in and one last Vinyasa Yoga session in the Yoga Barn at Fair Harvest.
After breakfast, we will pack up and head off for the last experience of the tour. We are certainly going out with a bang with an incredible meet the maker experience! Join Tim & Cree at their iconic One Table Farm & Cooking School in Cowaramup for a 3.5-hour tailor-made sourdough workshop, lunch and tour. During a demo, see all of the stages of how to make the perfect sourdough. And roll up your sleeves and get involved. Taste a variety of bread throughout the class and graze on the fresh farm to plate organic produce. Take a tour of the 100-acre sustainable farm they have created from scratch, and hear their wonderful story and vision.
Feeling inspired and satisfied, it’s time to jump on the bus one last time for our journey back to Perth, arriving around 5 pm.
