Elephant Rocks in Denmark in Western Australia on Margaret River tours

Discover the Margaret River Region on this amazing new tour from Perth

Discover the Margaret River Region on a brand new Nullarbor Traveller tour. We’ve been operating our unique swag camping adventures in the stunning regions throughout the South West of Western Australia for 15 years now. But recently we decided it was time to offer another option for those who prefer a roof over their head at night. We are super excited to have just launched two tours with comfortable accommodations departing Perth from September 2018. These tours feature the same incredible adventures by day and shared hostel accommodation by night, with upgrades available for private rooms. One of these tours is our 3 Day Margaret River Tour which will give those with limited time a taste of what the South West of Western Australia has on offer.  Be connected with nature as you discover the pristine wilderness of Margaret River, Dunsborough, Walpole, Denmark and Albany. Sample delicious wines and local produce, engage in one of Australia’s best indigenous cultural experiences, take a leisurely two-hour canoe down Margaret River, walk among the colossal Red Tingle trees in Walpole and be wowed by stunning swimming holes.

5 Reasons to jump on board this Margaret River tour!

1. Margaret River

Margaret River is nestled between vineyards and towering Karri forests and the locals mainly consist of surfers, winemakers, artists and people who enjoy a laid-back lifestyle. Known for its craft breweries and world-class wine, you’ll have the opportunity to taste lots of local produce including wine, craft beer, cheese and chocolate. Do what most people don’t and get another perspective of the river by jumping in a canoe for a two-hour paddle.

2. Koomal Dreaming Cultural Experience

One of Australia’s best indigenous experiences, this personalised two-hour tour with Wadandi custodian, Josh “Koomal” Whiteland, will introduce you to the world’s oldest living culture with his authentic and personal interpretation. A didgeridoo performance deep underground in the beautiful Ngilgi Cave ‘amphitheatre’ will be a moment you’ll treasure forever.

3. Walpole & The Diamond Tree

Surrounded entirely by national park, the amount of dense forest in this region provides a sense of isolation and remoteness.  Picturesquely situated on the tranquil waters of the Walpole Inlet, this is the only place in the South West Region where enormous Karri Forest grows right down to the ocean.  Climb the 50 metre Diamond Tree, a native karri tree once used as a fire lookout and 1 of only 3 wooden top towers in the world.

4. Greens Pool & Elephant Rocks

The magical Greens Pool lies on the edge of William Bay National Park and is famous for its turquoise green waters and pristine white sandy beach. Large granite boulders surround the pool, protecting it from the Southern Ocean. Almost completely sheltered from the waves, Greens Pool is total paradise and a safe swimming spot with its calm waters all year round. Just down the road is the equally stunning Elephant Rocks whose name is derived from a series of exposed rocks, which resemble a herd of elephants. Elephant Cove has a sacred feel to it, perhaps because it is rumoured to have been an aboriginal birthing place over the centuries.

5. Our Guides

Our talented and professional guides are the best in the business and know this region like the back of their hands! They share our philosophy and passion for the environment and have extensive knowledge on native plants, wildlife and indigenous culture. The quality of a guide can make or break your whole experience and we can assure you our awesome team of guides are on a mission to make sure you have the best trip possible!  They’ll show you all the highlights but also take you off the beaten track to places you’d never find otherwise! Featuring nature, wildlife, food and wine, hiking and culture, this tour showcases the best of the south west for those with limited time. If you do have a little bit more time we’d highly recommend out 6 Day Esperance, Margaret River & Albany Tour which you can do as an accommodated or swag camping option.  For great introductory offers and exclusive tour deals subscribe on our website to our Monthly Newsletter.
